When I first saw the iPhone it was at Macworld 2007 where the phone was encased in a museum like rotating display case, generating awe in media and consumers alike. The crappy thing about new technology is that you just can’t get the first generation product, unless, of course, you want to chuck yours when the next version comes out.

So after a year and a half of waiting, I finally get the chance to own an iphone. The lines were crazy, day after day after day, people stood in lines for hours at Apple and AT&T stores to get their hands on an iPhone 3G. How people do this, I don’t know. I suppose a lot of them called in sick repeatedly to get in line.

Convinced there would never be a day where there wasn’t a two hour line, I buckled down and ordered one. Love it or hate it, the iPhone is just the coolest phone out there, the imitators are just that, imitations. I can even blog from an iPhone mini-app that lets me blog, effortlessly. Now if only typing on a tiny device was an easy thing to do.
