The story behind SPANX is a little interesting. Sara Blakely had this problem with visible panty lines and lumps in her smooth fitting pants. As most women did back then, she cut the feet out of her pantyhose. One day, while watching television, Oprah mentioned that she too cut the feet out of her pantyhose. An idea was born and the rest is history.So you like the control of pantyhose, but you don't need pantyhose. Love wearing those open toed shoes, even in the winter.
